well i woke up this morning to an awesome surprise: Botty! has just been featured as a Daily Deviation!
i'm just flattered with how much recognition and popularity this image gained immediately, i wasn't expecting anything really, it was just a test for some brushes..
so let me thank all of you that already liked it, commented on (i'll try to answer and thank all of you one by one) and started watching me just because of that, and a special thanks goes to two people that i don't know but made it possible: cinyu and ihamo for suggesting it, thank you so much!
also, and this is what this journal was supposed to be about before this surprise, the same image has been featured in 2dartist magazine's artist gallery.
just in case you don't know this online magazine, well, let me say it's a handful of monthly awesome art, tutorial, tips & tricks, interviews, sketchbooks and everything you want to know about all you favorite (or not yet favorite) artists.
at a ridiculous price (even lower if you decide to subscribe) you don't really want to miss it.
so don't waste time and click here to download the latest issue!
on a side note, i'm very very close to start my first Patreon campaign, all centered on my personal project Star Wars 1941.
this whole idea has been on my mind for a long time, and happened to begin casually some time ago, and since then i started thinking if using it for Patreon..not that i don't want to do it for free (if you know how Patreon works you already know everything will be released here on DA and everywhere else, except patrons will have a much more in depth look at the whole process) but since freelancing is taking most (if not all) of my time right now, i might be able to ease down on freelancing and work more on this project.
i just need some more time to finalize pledges and rewards, then it will be all fully operational..so if you're interested stay tuned and spread the word, it would be a great help (and huge sign of appreciation) because the more you are the more you'll get!
it's pretty easy to guess what 'Star Wars 1941' might be, but it can be explained in a few words, so here it is: the whole idea is that, since in the original trilogy everything visual (gear, costumes, weapons) and the ideals of the Empire itself are strongly based on World War 2 era and German/Nazi army, why not move everything back to the that period?
that's why the tagline is 'what if a long time ago was actually 1941?'
that's all for now, so again, thank everyone for your appreciation and support, it means the world to an artist!
